At LCP Consulting Group, our team brings deep expertise from individual successes. For instance, Tony was commissioned by the IOC to develop a talent identification program for young rowers in Southern Africa as part of the IOC’s Youth Development Program.

 

This project included research on demographics and athlete somatotypes, designing a tailored testing protocol, and implementing a data management system for candidate profiling and evaluation.

Alongside managing a significant sponsorship deal with the Mercedes Petronas Formula 1 Racing team, Tony led the development and management of two critical projects. These initiatives employed AI-driven data acquisition solutions, including Generative Pre-Training Transformer (GPT) and Large Language Models (LLM), to improve driving performance and optimize systems management. His efforts played a key role in enhancing the team's competitive edge in the racing industry.

Arsenal Football Club

As part of our team, Richard developed a comprehensive content strategy at Arsenal FC that encompassed digital, social, print, and broadcast media. Leading a team of 25, he ensured alignment with the club’s values and business goals.

 

Under his leadership, Arsenal became the third most followed sports team on Twitter and fifth on Facebook, significantly boosting its global presence and engagement across platforms.

One of our team, Tony oversaw a significant partnership with the UFC, integrating scorecard analytics and video analysis to predict match outcomes during bouts and for overall ranking assessments. This involved developing a platform for mass data ingestion and an AI-based algorithm to filter relevant data focused on performance outcomes.

They collaborated closely with a group of Data Scientists to create an AI platform that efficiently processed historical and real-time data to generate highly accurate predictions.

Indonesian Premier League

As the consultant Content Director for the Indonesian Football League, Richard traveled extensively across Indonesia, presenting digital and social transformation strategies to top-flight clubs. His dedicated efforts resulted in a remarkable increase in social media reach, achieving an impressive total of 810,000 across various platforms. Additionally, he developed a comprehensive content plan for non-matchday events, significantly enhancing the league's visibility and strengthening its connection with fans and local communities nationwide.

UAE Team Emirates

As a member of our team, Tony managed the overall sponsorship and developed a fully integrated data analytics platform for UAE Team Emirates. This platform consolidates data from wearables, coach input, and athlete feedback to predict performance outcomes and manage training loads, ultimately reducing injury risks. It plays a critical role in team selection and tapering strategies for major events, ensuring optimal athlete performance and supporting the team’s competitive edge in the sport.

Asian Football Confederation

Richard collaborated with the Asian Football Confederation to offer strategic guidance on content, digital media, and communications for top clubs in the UAE.

 

Traveling extensively, he supported clubs in crafting effective digital marketing strategies. His efforts were pivotal in promoting sustainability within the league while strengthening community engagement among fans, fostering a deeper connection between clubs and their supporters throughout the region.

Colorado Rapids

While with Colorado Rapids, Richard implemented a cutting-edge digital strategy that elevated the club to MLS’s top rank on Facebook.

 

Achieving a 300% growth in social media reach within 18 months, he also produced an award-winning mini-series for Tim Howard’s return.

 

His successful digital campaigns drove record season-ticket sales and delivered enhanced value to club partners.

Youth Athlete Development

Tony worked closely with SASCOC (South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee) to develop, present, and educate coaches throughout South Africa by creating a platform that contained a series of courses and coaching methodologies titled "Athletic Development in Young Athletes - A Coach’s Guide to Training Methodology."

The platform addressed subjects ranging from youth talent identification to young athlete development and mental health management.
